The
mini B3 is designed to work with most bicycles. Check to see if your
bicycle is equipped to accept a rear rack. As with all B3 blenders,
slick tires are required. More specifically, the aluminum roller needs
a generally smooth surface to roll upon. Knobs on the outer surface
of the tires are acceptable. For most bikes, tires betweeen 1.25"
and 2.1" wide will be compatible with the mini B3.
The larger your gear ratio, the more thoroughly you'll be able to blend.
You will be able to get away with convetional mountain bike gearing
(46 t front chainring, 11t rear) if you're a strong pedaler. We recommend
a 52 or 53 t chainring up front for maximum enjoyment of your blender.
We also sell the Jamis Explorer 4.0 bicycle
for use with your bike blender. The Jamis is built with a special internal
hub gearing that allows us to get 25-30% more power out of a bicycle.
