Fender Blender in Cooking Demo

At this year's Berkeley International Food Festvial, Chef Mike C. from Kitchen on Fire demonstrates how to cook it up with the Fender Blender. Mike uses the blender to make a chutney for Samosas, then switches to the Food Processor accessory to puree an eggplant based spread. Nice moment at the end of the video (below), where Mike exclaims "I need one of these." Mike and the Juice Peddler are working a deal.

Whitefish MT Bike Shop features Fender Blender

Craig Prather of Great Norther Cycles ordered a Fender Blender from us a few months ago. His shop just opened and received this write up in their local newspaper, the Beacon.

Craig wrote us, simply: "thanks guys. works great" We're excited to see that the FB not only works great at making a frozen coffee frappe, but it's great a generating meaningful media exposure for our amazing customers.

The blender worked amazingly well...

...and we had great feedback.

{From a RTB customer in the UK that runs an organization called C-Change. Click on the image below to see their blog}

"We also used it to talk to people as they were preparing the fruit - where they put their peelings and skins - composting, how important it is to sort your waste out - how biodegradable waste in landfills creates harmful green house gases. We also took the opportunity to talk to people whilst they were pedaling (so they couldn't escape!) about food miles and where the fruit comes from, how far it has to travel and how. We sourced loads of juicy berries that were in season and from local farms - and as a result had some delicious mouth watering smoothies!" --Kristi

Calling All Bike Blenders - Day of Action

Attention all bike blenders, B3's, homemades, or otherwise. A day of action called Step it Up 2007 has been set for this coming Saturday, April 14th, one week before earth day. Demonstrations are slated to happen across the country calling attention to the need for bold action on the part of Congress set specific and meaningful goals to abate global warming.

What a great opportunity to bust out the old bike blender, make some drinks, engage folks in conversation, and turn some heads. Please let us know here at the Juice Peddler what events you'll be at so we can help spread the word!

So far, we know of a Fender Blender in use at Sea Otter Classic Mountain bike race on Saturday(not exactly a part of the event, but we hereby declare any bike event to be a step in the right direction!). As well, a bike blender in use at a elementary school event in Tucson, AZ. Keep it coming!
