Testing: New low profile B3 prototype

Shane Rhodes, long time Xtracycle tourer and B3 user is testing a new prototype of a super low profile, lighter weight, Xtracycle-based blender. On tour in the Yucatan peninsula with his new bride, Missy, she has this to say about adventuring with a bicycle blender:

"...last night, Shane ordered a fancy blended drink but the power was out and they said they couldn't blend it as the blender wouldn't run. Shane, being the ever ready traveller, grabbed his Xtracycle and our new travel bike blender and blended his own drink. the restaurant used his bike blender for the rest of the night for other blended drink orders."

A similar model is also being prototyped for a regular bolt-on style rear bike rack. Still havent figured out how to stationary-ize a standard bicycle without using a bulky, heavy, folding bike trainer. Comments on this would be appreciated.

On a different excursion than Shane Rhoddes', I also witnessed the B3 in action in the Yucatan, and also in Belize and Guatemala. Similar devices, such as hand-cranks, are mounted on tricycles to make Snow-Cone type treats in that region. People saw the immediate value of a bicycle blender, and if produced affordably, selling smoothies in this manner could provide significant human-powered economic opportunity.
Good Luck Blender People!
